Modern wine cellar design rooted in more than two decades of craftsmanship, innovation and architectural thinking.

Millesime Modern Cellars

Millesime Modern Cellars designs custom wine cellars and wine displays for residential, commercial and hospitality spaces across North America and beyond.

With roots in Montreal dating to 2001, Millesime has evolved from a wine storage specialist into a design-forward brand known for bringing wine collections into the architecture of a space. Our projects combine metal, wood, glass, acrylic and refined finishes to create modern wine displays designed around both presentation and preservation.

For editorial features, design stories, industry commentary, project imagery or expert interviews, our team is available to provide background, visual assets and wine cellar expertise.

About Millesime Modern Cellars

Millesime Modern Cellars creates custom modern wine cellars and architectural wine displays for homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, dealers and hospitality professionals.

Our designs range from intimate residential wine walls and glass-enclosed cellars to restaurant wine displays, hotel installations and large-scale commercial projects.

Known for label-forward presentation and a clean, contemporary aesthetic, Millesime offers customizable wine storage systems using premium materials including Walnut, White Oak and Sapele Mahogany alongside anodized metal, glass and acrylic.

Every custom project is supported by complimentary design services and 3D renderings, helping clients and trade professionals move from an initial idea to a detailed wine cellar design built specifically for the space.

Millesime Through The Years

2001: Beginning Of Our Story

We began as wine storage experts known as '12 En Cave,' paying homage to 12 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit), the ideal preservation temperature for wine. We marketed wine accessories while utilizing a 2000 sq ft space for customer wine storage to maintain optimal preservation.

2010: Introduced Millesime Wine Racks

10 years later, we introduced Millesime Wine Racks with custom solutions for floor-to-ceiling wine racks in 1-3 bottle depths. Our team of cellar specialists worked mainly with designers for private residential wine cellars as we continued to develop our product line.

2011 - 2023: Product Evolution

For the past 13 years, we have focused on innovation and providing top-tier wine storage systems to clients worldwide. We introduced new finishes in our anodized aluminum fixtures, added wood species to best match current design trends, and designed design-forward display fixtures for wine and liquor collections.

2024: A New Era

In November 2024, Millesime Wine Racks became Millesime Modern Cellars to better reflect the truly elegant and sophisticated nature of our designs and customer base. Millesime Modern Cellars will continue to uphold and expand upon the superior service and products our customers trust, while advancing innovative, design-focused wine storage solutions.

Our Story

From Montreal Wine Storage Experts to Modern Cellar Design

Millesime's story began in Montreal in 2001 as 12 En Cave, serving wine collectors with storage expertise and climate-controlled wine storage.

In 2010, the company introduced Millesime Wine Racks, expanding into custom floor-to-ceiling wine storage and working with designers on residential projects.

The following years brought continued product development, including new anodized finishes, wood options and increasingly design-forward wine and liquor displays.

In November 2024, the brand entered its next chapter as Millesime Modern Cellars, a name that better represents the architectural, material-driven approach that had come to define its work.

In 2025, Millesime expanded U.S. manufacturing to support greater production efficiency and faster service for American projects while maintaining its Canadian roots and international reach.

Areas of Expertise

Modern Wine Cellar Design

Millesime approaches wine storage as part of the architecture rather than an accessory added after the room is designed. Our team works with the dimensions, materials, sightlines and intended use of a space to develop wine storage that feels integrated into the finished environment.
